Welcome. Here's the problem: Our educational system is in need of repair. The vast majority of our educators are good, intelligent men and women drawn to teaching our youth. The professors in the "Schools of Education" instruct their students on the art of "teaching", but not on the fundamentals of "leading". This is where our universities drop the ball. To be an effective teacher/educator one must first be an effective leader. From school district superintendents to campus principals to department heads to lead teachers to classroom teachers and all staff members in between, our educators can "administrate", but are somewhat lacking in fundamental leadership skills so as to be effective educators.
I created this blog to discuss, debate, or down right argue this thesis statement. Let's share ideas and start fixing the problem.
